Versatile Leisure Centre by Kipp Stewart with Multiple Configurations in Walnut

One of the smartest designs from Kipp Stewart and produced in very limited numbers for Drexel as part of the Declaration series model 881-546-2, this unit offers more than meets the eye.

These models are part of the sub-series “leisure center” in bookmatched walnut. Price is for both cabinets which attach to each other. These two units each have four holes, two on the top and two on the side. They serve several purposes: 1. Black inserts with bolts are present when the special features are not in use. 2. The holes on the sides are designed to attach the cabinets together forming a single solid cabinet. 3. The holes on the tops serve two purposes i. to attach additional cabinets (stacking) that can be purchased; ii. To use the extra porcelain drawer pulls that can attach to the top so the cabinets become servers and the knobs prevent trays from sliding off. In addition to this, two extra knobs from the series exist (they are brass and walnut) that can be used on the cabinet instead of the porcelain knobs. There is a bag of compete hardware which comes with these units (extra knobs and all black insert fittings). Whether used individually or as a combo unit the intended purposes range from being servers (sideboard), credenza, media centre or cupboard storage cabinets. The condition is excellent with minimal signs of use, the only noteworthy flaw is a mark to the adjustable shelf (two rings). Drawers are absolutely spotless. Fully signed in drawers, front and back.
